All-American Wayne Gallman, one of the top running backs in the South, is doing a diary with TheClemsonInsider.com. In this final edition Gallman shares his thoughts Saturday night as he prepares to move in to Clemson on Sunday.
I have everything packed. I am all ready to go. I am heading up at 8 in the morning. I should be in Clemson around 10.
My whole family is coming with me. My mom, sister, grandma and dad are all coming.
Tonight my mother is kind of emotional. So is my grandmother. My girlfriend is over also. She is happy for me but she won’t be up at Clemson until August.
My dad is ready for me to go up there and do my thing.
I am in maybe the best shape of my life. I know it will be even harder when I get up there. I know the conditioning will be something I have to get used to. I am in good condition right now.
It is going to be a lot easier to concentrate on one position. It will be nice to just play running back.
I am ready to go show people what I can do. I want to show all the doubters that I have the ability to avoid a red-shirt. I am going to ball my heart out. I won’t be in anybodies shadow at Clemson. I am ready to show what I can do.
I have been talking with my roommates almost every day. I talked with Kyrin a bit ago. I talked to Tyshon this morning. Jayron also. He is already up there. I know Tyshon is heading up tomorrow.
TheClemsonInsider.com would like to give special thanks to Wayne for doing the diary with TCI for the past year. We feel confident Tiger Nation now knows what a great young man Clemson is getting this weekend. Best of luck to Wayne as he begins his career at Clemson.
