Offensive Continuity

Clemson and Georgia are two of six schools to have the same offensive staff since 2011.  Including the 2014 season Clemson’s offensive staff of Chad Morris, Robbie Caldwell, Jeff Scott and Danny Pearman remains in tact.

Unusual Road Opener

When Clemson opens the season at Georgia it will be the first time since 2002 that the Tigers have opened the season at the opponents home field.  In 2002 the Tigers also opened the season at Georgia.  The Dawgs won a close one 31-28.

Clemson enters the season ranked 16th in both major polls, the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll.  Last season Clemson started the season ranked 8th in both polls.

Stoudt Strong on Stats

Clemson quarterback Cole Stoudt will start for the first time Saturday, but he enters the game with very impressive stats.  Last season Cole led the nation in completion percentage for players with more than 50 attempts going 47-59 for .797 percent.  Stoudt also had five touchdowns last year with no interceptions.
