I’m not one for moral victories. Trust me on that. But what I saw out of this Clemson team on Saturday was something to be extremely encouraged about.
First off, I know Dabo Swinney said last night that Cole Stoudt will get a chance to play some more and will compete at quarterback. But really listen to those words. The word compete is what stood out to me.
Like the rest of us, Swinney knows that this football team is now Deshaun Watson’s. The freshman took control on Saturday in Tallahassee, he put his team on his back and nearly and should have won the ball game. The good news is Watson did nothing to lose the game, but did everything he could to win it.
