Divine Deablo has made it quite apparent where his allegiances lie.
The four-star wide receiver from Mount Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina favors Clemson over the rest. On Saturday, he returned to Clemson for the 50-35 win over North Carolina.
“I got there a little bit late, so I didn’t get to talk to the coaches like I wanted to, but it’s known that I like Clemson,” Deablo told TheClemsonInsider.
“I’ve always liked them and it’s still the same for me, pretty much.”
Deablo last visit to Clemson was in June for the Dabo Swinney Football Camp. Before Saturday, his most recent game day visit was for the Florida State game.
“The fans are always tight. They hype me up, even when I’m not playing. I like the little chant they do. It’s just a great atmosphere,” Deablo said.
After watching Deshaun Watson’s impressive performance on the road at Florida State, Deablo liked what he saw in the freshman quarterback’s first start at Clemson.
“It was cool,” Deablo said. “He’s a really good quarterback and it would be nice to play with him one day.”
So far this season, Deablo has also visited South Carolina and North Carolina. He’s looking to take at least two other visits later this fall.
“I plan on visiting Georgia and Virginia Tech, I just don’t know when yet,” Deablo said.
Through five games this season, he has 17 catches for 400 yards and two touchdowns.
