Third time in Tigertown

Four-star shooting guard Ty’Shon Alexander has been to Clemson three times this year.

Trip No. 1 was in January for the basketball team’s 72-59 win over Duke.

Alexander returned in August for the Brad Brownell Elite Camp, where he picked up the Clemson offer.

Visit three was a few weeks ago for the football game against Louisville.

“I liked it a lot, especially the environment and the way that a whole bunch of people come to watch all the games,” Alexander said of his most recent trip to Tigertown.

A sophomore at Northside Christian in Concord, North Carolina, the 6-4 180-pound prospect enjoyed his conversations with Brownell and the other Clemson coaches.

“I was asking about the education (aspect) and how practice was. They were saying that it’s very good and they wanted me to come down there,” Alexander said.

He was also impressed with the game day environment.

“It was packed all over the place and it was loud,” Alexander said. “It goes the same for basketball. I could tell that a whole bunch of people come and support their team. Especially when they played Duke, it was just so loud and the environment was crazy.”

Wake Forest had Alexander on campus for a visit earlier this season. The Demon Deacons, along with N.C. State, UNC, Duke and Virginia are also in contact.

Clemson, Virginia Tech and Charlotte have offered.
