Buried on the Clemson depth chart a few years ago, Roberts decided a blue chip education was preferable to sitting on the bench for a major college football program so he transferred to Yale after the 2012 season.

The starting quarterback on an 8-1 team, Roberts has completed 222 of 323 passes for 2,925 yards and 21 touchdowns with seven interceptions.

ESPN GameDay will be in New Haven, Conn., on Saturday for Yale’s final game of the season, the annual clash with Harvard known in traditional circles as The Game.
