Going for 40

With a win Saturday the senior class will have 40 wins and tie a record set in 1990.  The 1990 senior class went 10-2 on the field four straight years.  This senior class already has more ACC wins than any other senior class, 26.

Jagodzinski Returns

Former Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski returns to Death Valley as offensive coordinator for Georgia State.  Jagodzinski coached Boston College in 2007 and 2008.

Military Appreciation Day

Today will be the 21st Military Appreciation Day at Clemson.  The game goes back to 1994 when Clemson had a special fly over for Georgia Tech.  The Tigers have a 16-4 record on Military Appreciation Day.

Purple Out

Clemson fans are asked to wear purple on Saturday.  The team will come down the Hill in purple.  Clemson has it’s own purple heart recipient Daniel Rodriguez.

Freshmen Lead Tigers

Although the Tigers have a strong senior class with 28 seniors, freshmen lead the way in several categories.  Wayne Gallman leads the team in rushing with 487 yards on 109 carries.  Artavis Scott leads in receptions with 56, 18 more than any other receiver.  Deshaun Watson leads in touchdown passes with 12.

One of Top Defenses

Clemson enters the game with one of the top defenses in the nation.  The Tigers rank No. 2 in total defense averaging 262 yards per game.  Wisconsin leads the nation only giving up 244 yards per game.

Dabo Goes for Record

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney goes for a record Saturday.  With a win he sets the ACC record for wins in the first seven years as a head coach.  Dabo enters with a 58-26 record tied with Maryland’s Jerry Clairborne.  Danny Ford is third on the list with 57 wins in his first seven seasons.
