Schedule Overview

By Trey McCurry.

In part four of our season preview, we take a brief look at the 2015 Clemson baseball schedule. Stay tuned to TCI throughout the preseason as we continue breakdown the 2015 roster and 2015 opponents as we lead up to Opening Day on February 13th.

The Tigers will again play a top schedule in 2015, with 19 games coming against teams that played in the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Of the 19 games, 13 of the final 14 regular-season games will come against NCAA Tournament teams. Clemson will play 34 games in the friendly confines of Doug Kingsmore Stadium while also playing three games at Fluor Field in Greenville.

Clemson will host ACC series against Duke, Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame, and Wake Forest while traveling for series against Boston College, Florida State, Georgia Tech, NC State, and Virginia Tech. The Tigers will not face Miami (FL), Pittsburgh, or Virginia in regular-season ACC play.

In addition to the 30 ACC games, Clemson will face familiar foes South Carolina, Georgia, and Western Carolina along with games against in-state foes Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Furman, Presbyterian College, Winthrop, and Wofford.

The ACC Tournament returns to Durham in 2015 as the top ten teams in ACC play face off at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Each regular-season division winner gets the top-two seeds while the remaining teams are comprised of the eight next best ACC regular-season winning percentages. Seeds 7-10 will face off in play-in games on Tuesday before the familiar round-robin play runs from Wednesday to Saturday with the two pool winners facing off in the Championship Game on Sunday.
