Malik Walker heard plenty about Clemson before he first visited last fall for the Louisville game.

His cousin, Roy Walker, played defensive back at Clemson from 2005-06.

“Everything he was saying, it was true, everything he was saying,” Malik told TheClemsonInsider, during a recent interview.

The three-star from Macon County High School in Montezuma, Georgia liked what he saw.

“It was very nice,” Walker said.

He went into detail.

“Everything, the environment, how the crowd was into the game, it felt like I was home there,” Walker said. “Coach Dabo (Swinney), he’s a very intelligent man, a man of God. I just like everything about him.”

The 6-1, 260-pound prospect said his return to Clemson will be “pretty soon,” but no plans have been set.

In addition to the Clemson trip this fall, Walker also went to games at Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Miami.

Clemson, Tennessee and UCLA make up his lead group.

“Right now, it’s not any order,” Walker said.
