By Will Vandervort.
Mark Fields commitment to Clemson late Monday night perhaps will be the last in what has been one of Clemson’s greatest recruiting classes of all-time. Once again, Dabo Swinney, Jeff Scott and the rest of the coaching staff has set the Tigers up for an unbelievable future.
Fields himself allows Clemson to continue to build depth on the defensive side of the football and especially in the secondary. I will leave Hale with the recruiting information and its analysis since he does such a good job of it, but let me tell you what Fields adds to what is already a strong defensive back field.
From everything I have read and understand Fields will come to Clemson with the same reputation that Mackensie Alexander had. He sounds like he will have an opportunity to come in and compete for the starting job opposite Alexander due to the departure of senior Garry Peters.
So what does Fields add to the Clemson secondary in 2015? Read the rest of my Wednesday’s Thoughts in The Rock. It’s free.
