Clemson made some noise last week in regards to where it plans to be in the future.
The Tigers followed up National Signing Day, in which it finished No. 4 in the country by ESPN and Rivals, by announcing its plan to build a 157,000-square foot facility that will be the football program’s new home by 2017.
The new football facility, which will cost $62 million, will be located where the Indoor Practice Facility is now bedside the Jervey Athletic Center and will be an extra addition to the existing structure. The complex is set to include a locker room, meeting rooms, coaches’ offices, along with strength and conditioning, sports medicine and a dining area.
It was an announcement that told everyone, including its biggest ACC rival in Florida State, Clemson isn’t planning on going anywhere when it comes to being a major player in the conference, but also nationally as well.
