Jackson recaps Junior Day in Clemson

Four-star defensive tackle Antwuan Jackson was among the guests in Clemson last month for the Elite Junior Day.

TheClemsonInsider recently caught up with the country’s No. 48 overall prospect, according to 247.

“It was a great visit to Clemson,” Jackson said. “It was a great environment. I love the coaches. I love coach (Dabo) Swinney. He’s a great person.”

Jackson added, “Just talking to the coaches, they’re great coaches. I just love the school.”

His first visit to Clemson was his freshman year when he attended the N.C. State game. A return visit will be made sooner, rather than later.

“I’m actually thing about some time this spring, when I’ll get back down there,” Jackson said.

In the fall, he went to games at South Carolina, Georgia and Auburn.

Alabama will have him on campus next Saturday and Auburn is set to host him on March 7.

Clemson and the foursome from the SEC appear to make up a lead group, even though Jackson claims no favorites.

“I’m enjoying the recruitment right now,” he said. “My recruiting is open.”

A decision is many months away.

“I was actually thinking about, probably, the fall, but it will probably go to fall or up to signing day,” Jackson said.

As a junior, he had 75 tackles, 31 tackles for loss and six sacks.
