What’s next?
What’s next for the Clemson football program?
Since 2009 Clemson, with the exception of the little hiccup that came in 2010, has been at the forefront of the college football world on a regular basis. Heck, even the 6-7 season of 2010 the Tigers managed a little bit of air time thanks to Da’Quan Bowers unbelievable junior year in which he earned unanimous All-American honors as well as winning the Hendricks Award as the nation’s best defensive end and the Nagurski Award as the nation’s best defensive player.
C.J. Spiller captivated the college football world for a good bit of 2009 as the ACC Player of the Year put up unbelievable numbers, while setting ACC and NCAA records as a running back, punt and kick returner.
In 2011, Sammy Watkins introduced himself to America and became a star overnight, while Dwayne Allen became a unanimous All-American at tight end and took home the John Mackey Award as the nation’s best at his position.
The Tigers also claimed their first ACC Championship in 20 years in 2011 and started their first of four straight 10 win seasons over the next four seasons.
