Rahshaun Smith to Clemson

During a ceremony on Thursday night, five-star linebacker Rahshaun Smith committed to Clemson.

A junior at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Smith is the eighth commitment to the Tigers’ 2016 class, joining Tavien Feaster, Jamie Skalski, Cornell Powell, T.J. Chase, Zerrick Cooper and Sean Pollard.

A four-star outside linebacker, according to ESPN, Smith is listed by the Worldwide Leader as No. 5 outside linebacker and No. 54 overall prospect in the class of 2016.

Rivals rates Smith as a five-star outside linebacker and lists him as the top player at the position. Rivals ranks him as the No. 11 overall prospect in the class of 2016.

Smith is rated by 247 as a four-star and ranked the No. 9 weak-side defensive end in the country. He’s also listed as the No. 123 overall prospect in the class of 2016.
