Chris Okey led off with a single, Pinder doubled, and Weston Wilson drove Okey in with a single thru the left side. Cox followed with a sac fly to bring in Pinder and give Clemson a 3-0 lead. The Tigers stretched the lead again in the sixth as Wilson drew a one-out walk and Cox singled before Eli White hit his first career homer make the score 6-0. The Deacons got on the board with two runs on three hits and an error in the eighth but were unable to get any closer as Clemson salvaged the final game in the series.
