There are several somethings that keep bringing Keyshawn Johnson Jr. back to Clemson.
The four-star wide receiver from Calabasas, California has visited Clemson four times. Last week, he returned with his father, the former NFL wide receiver and current ESPN NFL analyst, and his good buddy, five-star athlete Darnay Holmes.
“Just the environment. I feel like I’m at home there. Every time I go there, I feel loved. I really like the college in general, great facility,” Johnson told TheClemsonInsider, when asked why he’s visited the school so many times.
“Just the little things. Coach (Dabo) Swinney is going to be there for a while. I could definitely see myself being coached by him. Just stuff like that always keeps me coming back.”
Johnson added, “Every time I come to Clemson, I have a good time. I always have a good feeling about every time I come here, it’s a good vibe, so nothing changed on this visit.
“Talked to coach Swinney and coach (Jeff) Scott, coach (Tony) Elliott, and got to meet Deon Cain, the commit who came up here, and (Ray Ray McCloud).”
The Johnsons and Holmes visited Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Alabama before stopping in Clemson. Before heading back to California, they went to the Nebraska spring game.
Johnson could return to Clemson during the summer. Either way, he plans to be back in the fall for a game.
As a sophomore, Johnson caught 40 passes for 604 yards.
