Clemson offers Boudreaux’s teammate

As Clemson continues to push for 2016 offensive lineman Parker Boudreaux, another lineman from his school has emerged on the Tigers’ radar.

Earlier this year, Jonathon MacCollister transferred to Bishop Moore Catholic from Deland High School. He added an offer from Clemson on Tuesday when Jeff Scott and Robbie Caldwell stopped by the Orlando school to watch practice.

“It means a lot to me, because that’s one of my No. 1 schools that I would like to go to,” MacCollister told TheClemsonInsider on Tuesday night.

“I really like Clemson. I want to go to that school, so it means a lot to me.”

MacCollister will visit Clemson at some point this summer when Boudreaux makes his return to campus.

“I talked to Parker about it,” MacCollister said of Clemson. “He said he loves it. He loves the facilities. He said it’s something you have to experience for yourself.”

Boston College, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Marshall, USF, Utah and Western Kentucky have offered.

Clemson hasn’t indicated which side of the ball they would prefer him to play.

“I would prefer defensive line, because that’s what I love more, but it really doesn’t matter to me too much, but I prefer defense,” he said.

The 6-foot-4, 255-pound prospect will keep several factors in mind as he moves through the recruiting process.

“Really, I’m just going to look at the coaching staff and see how they coach, how they connect with the players,” MacCollister said. “And the academics of the school, how the academics are, the facilities and mostly how my family feels about the school.”
