Now that Marcquise Reed’s fourth and final official visit is over, he’ll take one more day before reaching a decision.
That, he told TheClemsonInsider, will be announced Monday on Twitter.
“I had a good time, it was a good visit,” Reed said on Sunday, close to 24 hours after wrapping up his trip.
He’ll choose between Clemson, Southern Cal, UMass and Tulsa. The 6-foot-3 guard went into detail about his return to Clemson.
“I got to tour the campus, saw the academic centers, computer rooms, cafeteria, food stores, got to see the apartments where the guys stay at,” Reed said. “Got to see the football stadium, went past Littlejohn. They’re about to redo that, take it down and redo it, so I got to see some of that.
“We got to see the downtown area, like Tigertown with all the stores and stuff. It was a nice campus.”
Most of the weekend was spent alongside Jaron Blossomgame and Landry Nnoko.
“They were just saying it’s a school that you’ll like and have fun there,” Reed said. “The best part is the basketball part. The competition that they play, the exposure, the arena…coach (Brad) Brownell is a good coach. They were just telling me a whole bunch of good stuff about the program.”
What was the message from Brownell and his staff?
“I can come in and play right away,” Reed said. “They need a scorer. They haven’t had a scoring guard in the last few years. They said I can come in and help right away, after my year of sitting out.”
As a freshman at Robert Morris, Reed averaged 15.1 points per game.
