ACC Tournament Overview

DURHAM, NC – Clemson begins play Wednesday at 11 in this year’s ACC Baseball Tournament.  TCI gives an overview of  the ACC Tournament.

Clemson record in NC: 38-32 (2 titles)

Leggett in ACCT:         41-38 (2 titles, 7 title game appearances)

Leggett in Durham:     8-12 (1 title game appearance)

 

Worth Noting

  • Clemson and Virginia are the only two schools to appear in every single ACC Tournament.
  • The Tigers nine titles are tied, with Georgia Tech, for the most all-time as they have been to the finals in 21 of the previous 41 tournaments.
  • In the 18 previous tournaments held in the state of North Carolina, Clemson is 10-16 in eight tournaments in Durham, 17-9 in five tournaments in Chapel Hill (with one title), 4-5 in three tournaments in Greensboro, and 7-2 in two tournaments in Raleigh (with one title).
  • Jack Leggett is the only coach in ACC history to have won a tournament championship as a first-year coach (1994).
