I was in the grocery store Sunday picking up stuff for a Memorial Day cook out when I came to the magazine section of the store. Since I was about 10 year olds, when my love for football started to fester inside, I have always checked out the magazine section during this time of year.

Of course when I was a little boy, like most of you out there, there was no internet. The only way to get the latest information on your favorite team or to read anything about football during the summer months was to pick up one of the annual football magazines at the newsstands. This became a habit for me, and even now when I have any information about any team at the touch of my fingertips, I’m stilled pulled to the magazine racks.

So of course, like a small child in a candy store, my eyes lit up when I saw the first two annual college football magazines on Sunday. It was even more special this year because my girlfriend’s son, who is nine and has really taken to football in the past year, was extremely excited when he saw Athlon’s College Football Preview, which has Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson on the front.
