Dabo Camp session two preview

After an action-packed first session of the [autotag]Dabo Swinney Football Camp[/autotag], session two kicks off Friday at 2:30.

Plenty of big-time visitors are set to descend upon the Clemson campus throughout the weekend and TheClemsonInsider will keep you covered through Sunday.

Among the headlining visitors is four-star 2016 wide receiver Diondre Overton, who will be surrounded by a host of Clemson commitments, including his friend Cornell Powell. Tavien Feaster and Jamie Skalski are also slated to be in for the entire weekend. Zerrick Cooper and Sean Pollard will arrive on Saturday.

Two of the top 2017 guests will be Lakeland, Fla. four-star teammates James Robinson (wide receiver) and A.J. Davis (running back), both of whom have offers from Clemson. They’re expected to stick around for the entire weekend.

Slated to make his return is 2017 offensive tackle Blake Vinson of Citra-North Marion (Fla.), who was offered by Clemson earlier this spring. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound prospect visited Clemson in April, about a month before Jeff Scott and Robbie Caldwell extended the Tigers’ offer.

Two instate prospects from the 2017 class will attend camp, with an eye on picking up an offer from Clemson: Aiken-Silver Bluff defensive end Devontae Davis and Summerville wide receiver Cam Burnette.

Other campers this weekend include 2017 Hochston-Mill Creek (Ga.) offensive lineman Tyler Fannin, 2017 Raleigh-Athens Drive (N.C.) tight end Teryn Savage, 2018 Alexandria-Episcopal (Va.) quarterback Seth Agwunobi, 2017 Decatur (Ga.) running back/safety Grant Walker and 2017 Mint Hill-Rocky River (N.C.) athlete Elijah Henry.

The one-day campers on Saturday: 2018 Shelby, N.C. linebacker Dax Hollifield, 2017 Suwanee-Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) linebacker Breon Dixon, athlete Connor Heyward, 2017 Atlanta-Pace Academy linebacker DeAndre Byrd and 2017 Fredricksburg-Chancellor (Va.) quarterback Jason Brown.

Also scheduled for Saturday is the kicking camp. There, several candidates that will compete for an offer from Clemson. Swinney previously mentioned that the 2016 class would include a punter, but this weekend’s offer could be for a greyshirt or preferred walk-on spot.

Sunday’s one day campers: 2017 Deerfield Beach, Fla. wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, 2017 Opelika, Ala. quarterback Jake Bentley and 2017 Charlotte-Mallard Creek offensive lineman Eric Douglas.
