Clemson head baseball coach Monte Lee scored another 2016 commitment on Sunday when [autotag]Brock Howard[/autotag] jumped on board with the Tigers’ program.
Howard, who’s out of St. Cloud-Harmony (Fla.), committed to [autotag]Clemson[/autotag] on Sunday, a day after he took his first visit to Tigertown.
“Clemson, it just stood out, everything about it,” he told TheClemsonInsider. “Obviously, the fan-base at Clemson is unreal, compared to any other school that I’ve ever been to. Nice facilities and good tradition. I really like coach Lee. I think he’s going to have something good going in the future.”
Clemson is recruiting Howard as a second baseman and centerfielder.
“But I’m just a hitter. I play solid defense, but I always swing it well. Hopefully, get in there as a freshman and just work hard, play hard and do what I have to do,” he said.
The 5-10, 175-pound rising senior looks forward to his full-time arrival to Clemson.
“It’s beautiful. All the rolling hills and the facilities, the facilities are pretty unmatched. I just love how it’s not really a big town, but it’s a college town, so everything is Clemson. I like that,” he said.
As a junior, Howard had 22 stolen bases
