Atlanta-Pace Academy offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, who’s one of the top prospects in the class of 2017, visited Clemson in June for the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.
According to 247, Thomas is the No. 74 overall prospect in the country. He’s also ranked as the No. 11 offensive tackle.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound junior spoke with TheClemsonInsider about his most recent trip to Tigertown.
“It was a fun experience. I love coach Elliott…it was a really good experience. It was a camp for a day. It was a really good experience. We had fun down there,” Thomas said.
He also visited earlier in the year.
“We only got to see the football facilities, didn’t really get to see the campus. But, from a football standpoint, it was pretty nice. I really liked the stadium,” Thomas said.
Alabama and Florida State also had him during the summer.
All three schools have offered, as have Georgia, Miami, Michigan, South Carolina and Virgina Tech.
“I’ve got to talk to my coach, to see what the schedule is going to be, but I know I’m going to Clemson for Florida State. I know I’m going to the Georgia, ‘Bama game,” Thomas said.
Thomas is taking his time with the decision.
“I haven’t really narrowed it down,” he said. “I’m still trying to visit as many schools as I can and I have a lot of choices, too.”
