Hyatt to make unusual start for freshmen at left tackle

Mitch Hyatt will get the start at left tackle for the Tigers as a true freshman.  The last time Clemson has a true freshman start at left tackle was 1944.

No. 12 Preseason

Clemson begins the season ranked No. 12 in both the Associated Press and Coaches Polls.  This is the highest for the Tigers since 2013 when they began the season ranked No. 8.

Clemson in season openers

The Tigers have won 23 of their last 30 season openers.  That includes ten of their last 15.

Tigers perfect

Clemson is a perfect 29-0 against FCS teams. The FCS division was created prior to the 1978 season.

40 Freshmen
