Coaches in the 79th annual Shrine Bowl announced their selections for this year’s game on Monday afternoon, and four Clemson commitments are on this year’s rosters.

Four-star wide receiver Cornell Powell is joined by four-star offensive lineman Sean Pollard on the North Carolina squad. Two of the top remaining targets on Clemson’s board were also named to the team: five-star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence and four-star wide receiver Diondre Overton.

The South Carolina squad includes five-star running back pledge Tavien Feaster and four-star defensive tackle commitment Nyles Pinckney. Joining them are three other targets: Daniel offensive lineman Cade Stewart, wide receiver Jayson Hopper, who’s from Lexington, and Greer cornerback Troy Pride, a Virginia Tech commitment.

Four-star offensive lineman John Simpson of Fort Dorchester was also picked to play for the Sandlappers.

The Shrine Bowl will be played on Saturday, December 19 at 1 o’clock at Wofford College in Spartanburg.
