The latest on Bruner

Once Jordan Bruner returned home from his official visit to Clemson, his city was flooded.

His house was fine.

“But everything around us was pretty much the opposite,” Bruner said.

Now, a week removed from his trip to the Upstate, the four-star power forward from Spring Valley High School in is ready to start thinking about his future home: Clemson or Yale.

“I’ll probably start breaking things down in the next couple of days, but I don’t know when I’ll have a decision by,” Bruner said.

The trip to Clemson went well.

“It was pretty much just confirmation about all the stuff I know about it,” he said. “There wasn’t really much they could show me that I wasn’t already aware of.”

Bruner will consider both angles: academics and athletics.

He added, “How I fit into the school, how I fit into the system, things like that.”

According to Rivals, Bruner is ranked as the No. 111 overall prospect in the country.

“Clemson and Yale both see me fitting in, in similar ways, really,” he said.

What, in particular, has those two schools under consideration?

Clemson: They just have a good balance between academics and athletics.

Yale: Really just one of the better fits for me out of the schools that have offered me.
