The first poll for this year’s College Football Playoff is out and Clemson perched atop the rankings at No. 1, ahead of LSU, Ohio State and Alabama.
TheClemsonInsider reached out to several of Clemson’s 2016 and 2017 commitments for an answer to the question: What do you think about Clemson’s spot in those playoff rankings?
Here’s what they said:
“Awesome accomplishment for them. But all that matters is who is on top in the end. I think coach Swinney and the team will do a great job of staying focused and finishing strong.”
– Chandler Reeves
“I think Clemson has been playing great and it’s awesome to be ranked No. 1 in the playoff rankings.”
– Tre Lamar
“It’s awesome, but I like coach Swinney’s attitude. He doesn’t care about rankings at all. All he wants is his team to go out, perform to the best of their abilities every week. He takes every Saturday as if it is the Super Bowl, the only thing his team should be focused on.”
– Sean Pollard
“I love it.”
– Xavier Kelly
“It makes me very excited.”
– J.C. Chalk
“It is an honor and is a result of Clemson’s dominance.”
– Nyles Pinckney
“Think it’s great. Like Dabo said, we got potential to be there. I think we got to keep focusing on week to week to get there.”
– Baylon Spector
“Right where they should be.”
– Noah DeHond
“Well deserved.”
– Cornell Powell
