Dabo impresses Miami CB

Trajan Bandy’s first college football game was a good one.

The four-star cornerback from Miami-Columbus visited last Saturday for the Florida State game.

“It was exciting to be able to see the Clemson Tigers run down the hill and being able to see coach Dabo Swinney talk in person. It was a great experience,” Bandy said.

Swinney’s pre-game speech to the unofficial visitors stayed with Bandy, who picked up an offer from Clemson earlier this summer.

“When (Swinney) came into the room where the recruits were and he was telling us, not about football, but it’s about family and it really got to me,” Bandy said. “It made me look back and think about it. I was thinking about it and I was like, that’s true.

“Everything that came out of his mouth was true. I really liked that about him. He’s a straight up coach. He does everything he can to win. You can just tell by the way he was talking. He’s a master motivator. I really enjoyed that.”

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound prospect was also impressed with the atmosphere in Death Valley.

“Being there, I promise you, I couldn’t here anything. It was crazy. It was insane. The crowd was crazy. The atmosphere was great. Clemson, that stadium was rocking,” Bandy said.
