The chase for the College Football Playoff continues. Each week the TCI staff gives their four playoff teams.
Here is this week’s edition.
Robert MacRae – Clemson is No. 1 in all three polls this week and they stay at the top for me. Ohio State is my No 2 this week. I have Oklahoma State as No. 3 this week. If they run the table they need to make the playoff. No. 4 this week for me is Notre Dame. Their loss is more impressive than Alabama’s. These next two weeks could really shake things up in the top four.
William Qualkinbush – I still don’t see Ohio State as a better team than Clemson over the course of time this season, so I’ll keep the Tigers at the top and the Buckeyes at the second position. Oklahoma State survived on Saturday, so they stay at number three for me, and I’m going with Notre Dame as the number four team. I like the body of work the Fighting Irish are putting together better than those of the other one-loss teams in contention.
Will Vandervort: Ohio State is the best team in the country in my opinion with Clemson a close second. I hope the selection committee has both sitting in opposite brackets in the first round because I think that would be the best championship game. I think Notre Dame should be in there and then Oklahoma. I still think the SEC is overrated as a conference and people’s love affair with Alabama is ridiculous.
Ed McGranahan – Clemson, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Houston — I like the undefeated and dislike Ohio State
