Back in Tigertown

Will Lawrence, one of the country’s top 2018 offensive linemen, took his first visit to Clemson in June.

The Tigers offered the 6-4, 280-pound prospect from Memphis-Harding Academy during his visit to Tigertown earlier this summer.

He returned earlier this month for the Tigers’ win over Florida State.

“I really liked the game a lot. It was a really good experience. I really enjoyed it,” Lawrence said.

Travel arrangements prevented him from experiencing all of the day’s recruiting festivities.

“I really just, overall, enjoyed the experience. I got there kind of late. We had game the night before…so I wasn’t there for all the pre-game stuff,” Lawrence said. “They might have done a lot of neat stuff for the pre-game, but I missed it.”

He did speak with offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell and area recruiter Dan Brooks before the game started.

“It was pretty much a quick catch up, (Caldwell) getting to meet my mom, that’s pretty much it,” Lawrence said.

This season, he’s also been to Ole Miss. Lawrence will attend the Iron Bowl on Saturday.
