Five-star linebacker Rahshaun ‘Shaq’ Smith arrived to Orlando on Monday for the Under Armour All-America Game.
On Saturday, he’ll make a declaration: Clemson, Auburn or LSU.
Smith detailed the three schools, one of which he’ll attend in January.
Clemson
It’s a great school outside of football. It’s a small town, not many distractions there. You see stuff happening college football today with college athletes getting in trouble. Down at Clemson, there’s not really much of that. Coach Swinney is a great coach. He’s definitely a players’ coach. All of his players love him. All his guys love him. Coach Venables is one of the best in the game, on the defensive side of the ball. He knows football and that’s what it comes down to. He’ll get you to your highest potential.
LSU
A couple of teammates are going there, definitely been in my ear a lot. It definitely would be good to go play with some teammates, go back and relive our moments in high school and do it on the college level and definitely be successful. Coach Steele is one of the top defensive coordinators in the country. He laid it all out on the table for me when I was there on my official at LSU.
Auburn
You talk about football in Alabama, Alabama and Auburn in the Iron Bowl, I was there on my official. Definitely had a great time there. Auburn, it kind of spoke for itself. Auburn, they were a few plays away from beating Alabama, which definitely was big…the playing time there is definitely open. It’s one of those schools, if you want, you can come and take it.
