Decision day for Overton

Four-star wide receiver Diondre Overton will announce his college decision at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl.

Sunday’s game kicks off at 9 on FS1.

The Greensboro-Page (N.C.) is down to Clemson and NC State. Three of the Tigers’ 2016 commitments, T.J. Chase, Sean Pollard and J.C. Chalk, are also playing in Sunday’s game.

In addition to Clemson and NC State, Overton once considered Tennessee, UNC and Nebraska. That trio was eliminated shortly before Overton showed up to Spartanburg for the Shrine Bowl.

“Pretty much, those are the schools that have been giving it their all throughout the recruiting process,” he said of the Tigers and Wolfpack.

Overton took an official visit to NC State in December.

Rivals rankings list him as the No. 26 overall wide receiver in the class of 2016. The other two Clemson wide receiver commitments, Chase and Cornell Powell, are ranked 8th and 19th, respectively.

As a senior, Overton caught 78 passes for 1,251 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also had 34 tackles and seven interceptions.
