Visiting from Jersey

Corey Bolds is ready to head south for his visit to Clemson.

The four-star defensive tackle from Paramus Catholic in New Jersey is ranked by 247 as the No. 15 defensive tackle in the class of 2017.

“Just feeling out the school, the whole atmosphere and getting to know coach (Dabo) Swinney and having a conversation with him,” Bolds said. “I’m always looking forward to spending time with coach (Dan) Brooks, too.”

Clemson offered last spring. Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State are also listed as offers. This spring, Bolds also wants to visit Michigan, Alabama and Tennessee.

“A family atmosphere, somewhere I can go and be looked at more than just as a football player, and get a great degree,” he said, “Those are the main, key factors about the whole situation and the recruiting process with me, and somewhere that can help me grow as a man.”

Bolds is a teammate of Rashan Gary, the No. 1 2016 prospect in the country.

“He always gives me advice. He told me, after my sophomore season, the recruiting process really started for me — he told me to let it do its work,” Bolds said, “Don’t let your play slack because you’re worried about the recruiting process. Everything will work out. Just take all of your visits and make the right decision for yourself and not for anyone else.”

As a junior, Bolds had 55 tackles, eight sacks and two forced fumbles.
