On Tuesday night, the day before Clemson puts the finishing touches on its 2016 signing class, the Tigers picked up a commitment from four-star safety Isaiah Simmons.
Clemson landed Simmons over Nebraska and Michigan. Missouri and Illinois also received official visits.
A four-star, according to 247, Simmons is rated the No. 16 safety in the class of 2016.
Clemson offered Simmons (6-3, 210) in December, when Brent Venables made the trip west to Olathe, Kan. Venables then returned with Dabo Swinney, a few days before Simmons was due on campus for an official visit.
Michigan scored an official to Ann Arbor right before Simmons took his first trip to Clemson this past weekend.
