Clemson’s basketball team will head to Blacksburg, Va., later this afternoon to play Virginia Tech for a 4 p.m. tip at Cassell Coliseum on Saturday.
The Tigers (14-8, 7-3 ACC) are coming off a 76-62 win at Wake Forest on Wednesday in Winston-Salem, N.C. It was the second road win of the season for Clemson as it scored 56 points in the second half. Those were the most points scored in any half for the Tigers in the 185 games under head coach Brad Brownell.
Clemson is 7-2 since the turn of the new year, and have six wins over teams currently ranked in the top 50 of the latest RPI. That is tied for fourth in the country behind Virginia, Oregon and Iowa.
The Tigers are looking for their second straight win in Cassell Coliseum.
On Friday Brownell spoke with the media as he previewed Saturday’s game at Virginia Tech (12-11, 4-6 ACC).
