New Clemson baseball coach Monte Lee met with the media on Tuesday to discuss the Tigers’ season-opener against Maine on Friday. Clemson will begin the three-game series at 4 p.m. at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson.

In the interview, Lee said he will go with lefty Charlie Barns in the season-opener. On Saturday senior righty Clate Schmidt will get the start and then on Sunday freshman lefty Jake Higginbotham will go for the Tigers.
