Clemson freshman Seth Beer has been named the mid-season top player in the nation and also top freshman by D1Baseball.com.
Beer is hitting .430 this season with a slugging percentage of .935. He already has 13 home runs, just two short of the freshman record at Clemson. His 13 home runs also rank second in the country. The freshman has 19 walks on the season and an on base percentage of .538 and has struck out just nine times.
Incredible numbers for a young man that should be enjoying his final semester of high school right now.
