Clemson had a near record weekend in regards to the 2016 NFL Draft. In all, nine former Tigers were selected in the three-day event, making it the second largest NFL Draft Class in the program’s history.
Clemson closed the draft strong. From picks 241-247, three former Clemson players were taken off the board in the seventh round on Saturday, which began when wide receiver Charone Peake went to the New York Jets at pick No. 241, followed by safety Jayron Kearse’s pick at 245 to Minnesota and two picks later by running back Zac Brooks, who was chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 247.
