DURHAM, N.C. — Clemson’s Chase Pinder hit a bomb to left field that keyed the Tigers in a come-from-behind, 5-4, victory over Wake Forest on Saturday. The win lifted the Tigers to the ACC Championship Game, their first appearance in the title game since 2006.
The 412-foot home run tied the game at 4-4 in the time in the top of the seventh inning.
Pinder’s home run was his 10th of the season, making him the third Tiger this year to hit 10 or more home runs this season, the first time Clemson has done that since 2010. Pinder joins teammates Seth Beer (16) and Chris Okey (12) with 10 ore more home runs.
Clemson will play Florida State at 11 am in the ACC Championship Game on Sunday.
