2018 receiver Demarcus Gregory attended the Dabo Swinney High School camp earlier this month. TCI caught up with the 6-3, 200 pound prospect to get the latest.
“t was good. There was some good talent there. I felt like I got better,” said Gregory.
The camp visit allowed the Byrnes High standout to work with Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott. What kind of relationship is he building with coach Scott?
“It’s pretty good. We talk every month or so,” replied Gregory.
Two former Brynes standouts Willy Korn and Xavier Dye worked the Clemson camp and Demarcus got to work with them as both worked with the receivers.
“It was great getting to work with some guys from my home town,” said Gregory.
Demarcus also attended the South Carolina football camp earlier this month.
“It was good was a good atmosphere,” said Gregory.
When asked to compare the Clemson and South Carolina camps, Demarcus responded, “They were both good and I felt like I got better”.
There are currently no other visits planned for the summer.
Demarcus plans to be in the Valley a few times this year.
“Yes sir. I am going to try to catch a few,” said Gregory.
Are there any early leaders for the rising junior?
“No sir, not yet. I’m still open for anything,” replied Gregory.
