Florence (S.C.) Wilson strong-side defensive end Xavier Thomas, the top prospect in South Carolina for the 2018 class, has Clemson in his recently released top four. South Carolina, Ohio State and Florida State also made the cut for the five-star prospect.

Along with the aforementioned schools, Thomas holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

Thomas is the country’s No. 3 overall recruit and No. 2 strong-side defensive end per the 247Sports Composite.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pounder was one of the few underclassmen invited to The Opening finals in Beaverton, Ore., this week.

Thomas has tallied 129 tackles and 34 tackles for loss thus far in his high school career. He also ran for 568 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore last season.
