It was a rough day for former Clemson standouts DeAndre Hopkins, Sammy Watkins, Shaq Lawson and Kevin Dodd on Saturday.
Watkins and Lawson were put on the physically unable to perform list by the Buffalo Bills, though Watkins is expect to be back soon, while Dodd was also placed on PUP by the Tennessee Titans. The former Clemson defensive end had minor foot surgery in May and still is not 100 percent. He, like Watkins, is expected to be back soon.
As for Lawson, who had shoulder surgery, he could miss more time, and there are reports he could miss the whole season.
Hopkins, one of the NFL’s most productive wide receivers the last two years, is healthy, but he is holding out of camp in Houston in hopes to get a new contract that is more competitive with the game’s other top receivers.
Here is what is being said about the Tigers’ former players.
