Clemson’s coaches aren’t wasting any time taking advantage of the new NCAA Proposal 2015-48, which went into effect at midnight Aug. 1 and allows coaches to “republish” or “endorse” prospects on social media for the first time.
In other words, coaches can now re-tweet, like and share the tweets or posts of recruits, with the only exception being they can’t comment on them.
Already, as of this article, Clemson co-offense coordinator/wide receivers coach Jeff Scott and defensive coordinator Brent Venables combined to re-tweet 30 tweets from recruits.
Scott mostly re-tweeted Clemson commits while sprinkling in a couple of re-tweets from top targets OrTre Smith and Jordan Williams. Venables, on the other hand, re-tweeted uncommitted players more often (nine out of 13 times, to be exact).
