Five-star linebacker Teradja Mitchell, a 2018 prospect, took a trip down South in late July to visit Clemson, Florida State and Georgia. The first stop was a visit to Clemson.

“It was fun.  I loved everything about it. The vibe of the coaching staff was great. They are like a real family and the campus is awesome. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet Coach (Dabo) Swinney because he was out of town,  but Clemson is a great program and school overall. I will be back,” Mitchell told The Clemson Insider.

Florida State was the next stop of the summer tour.

“It’s was great. I loved it. It was my second time visiting. I got to see a little bit more this time. The campus and football facilities are some of the best,” said Mitchell.

Georgia was the final visit.

“Before the Georgia visit I really didn’t know much about the program.  After I visited they really sparked my interest.  They have a great coaching staff with prestigious coaches like Kirby Smart and Mel Tucker,” said Mitchell.

How did the Virginia Beach standout compare the visits?

“I loved all three. All three are schools in my interest,” Mitchell said.

Right now Mitchell does not have any other visits planned.

When asked about his current favorites, Mitchell responded, “I am just enjoying the process right now.  I don’t have any favorites”.

Clemson and Florida State have both done well recruiting the Virginia Beach area. Two from the area are working to convince Mitchell to join them in the ACC.

“Khalan Laborn, one of my teammates who is committed to Florida State, has been trying to recruit me. Jordan Williams, who just committed to Clemson. He’s already on me,” Mitchell said.

Mitchell may see the Tigers first game of the season.

“I think I will be down for the Auburn game,” he said.
