Alex Turri, currently a freshman at Clemson, joins the The Clemson Insider staff as an intern. Turri will help TCI with both writing and video production.

Turri, a communications major, went to high school in Babylon, New York (Long Island), where he participated on many athletic teams, including football and lacrosse. He was a part of two county championships and a Long Island championship in lacrosse, and a county championship, along with another Long Island championship in football.

The freshman also commentated on multiple sporting events throughout high school and was head rainmaker of the basketball team his senior year.

“It is great to have Alex on board. I really like his enthusiasm,” said TCI publisher and owner Robert MacRae. “It’s rare for a freshman to want to come in and work right away, but it shows his level of commitment in his pursuit to be a sports journalist. We are very excited to have him on board.”
