What they are saying: Fan Appreciation Day

A record number of fans came out to Clemson on Sunday afternoon to see their favorite Tigers as part of Fan Appreciation Day in Clemson.

There were thousands and thousands of people in different lines coming into Memorial Stadium, especially for those wanting to see Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson and head coach Dabo Swinney.

Defensive tackle / defensive end Christian Wilkins, linebacker Ben Boulware, running back Wayne Gallman and wide receiver Mike Williams also had a large number of fans waiting to get their autographs as well.

Clemson, who debuted at No. 2 in the Associated Press’ Preseason Poll on Sunday, will kick off the 2016 season at Auburn on Sept. 3. The game will be a 9 p.m. kick and will be televised on ESPN.
