Bryant puts Stephen A. on blast

Former Clemson wide receiver Martavis Bryant has made his fair share of mistakes since being drafted in the fourth round of the NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2014. He was suspended for four games to open the 2015 season due to a failed drug test, and now he is facing a year-long ban in 2016 for failing another one.

Bryant’s is a sad story, albeit one that he is working to rectify. According to this article, Bryant is planning to enter a rehab facility in Nevada and help coach a local high school team while he sits out the upcoming season. This particular story was posted back in late July, and the topic was broached on ESPN’s First Take the following day. Naturally, host Stephen A. Smith had some questions about Bryant having access to teenagers while on suspension for drug use (as do many other people, I’d imagine), and he stated them quite forcefully during the program.

First Take marked the occasion with this tweet:

It appears Bryant just discovered the tweet–and by extension, the segment–and, not surprisingly, he was not amused. More than four weeks later, on Monday, he responded with this pair of tweets.

Naturally, Stephen A. Smith couldn’t help himself. His response is listed below, in a series of tweets.

It appears Martavis tired of the back-and-forth, so he resorted to subtweeting Stephen A. in the most obvious way possible. Take a look at his most recent tweets:

It appears this little social media tiff has died down for now, but never fear. If any additional action happens here, we will let you know. Stay tuned.
