State of the Athletic Department

Clemson athletic director Dan Radakovich met with the media on Friday to discuss the overall shape of the Clemson Athletic Department.

In the press conference, Radakovich said they are still continuing with their facilities push. The Clemson athletic director said Littlejohn Coliseum is really getting close, and men’s and women’s basketball began workouts in the main arena. There is still work to be done in the Swann Pavilion, but they are on time and on budget on opening the facility very soon.

The football operations center continues to progress as well. Radakovich says it is going to be a difference maker for the program. The athletic director also gave updates on the renovated tennis complex, and the redesign of the IPTAY Center.

When football moves into its new facility, Clemson plans to turn that area of the WestZone into the athletic department’s student-athlete academics and wellness area.
