Hogansville (Ga.) Callaway five-star offensive lineman Keiondre Jones is one of the top prospects in the class of 2019, and he already has a bevy of offers to back up his high ratings.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound sophomore holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, North Carolina, N.C. State, Tennessee, Troy, Tulane and UAB.
Jones is on Clemson’s radar, though the Tigers haven’t yet offered.
Jones hopes that changes in the future.
“I hope they pull the trigger,” Jones said during a recent interview with The Clemson Insider. “That would shake up a lot.”
Clemson co-offensive coordinator Tony Elliott and defensive backs coach Mike Reed traveled to check out Jones at his high school in mid-May.
Jones visited Clemson over the summer, too, and came away impressed.
“Me and my mom loved it,” Jones said. “One of the best (visits) I’ve been on thus far.”
What all did Jones get to see while on campus?
“The plans for the facility, the stadium, (practice) fields and a little workout,” he said.
The new football complex stood out to Jones, in particular.
“I think it’s going to be the best yet,” he said.
Jones also visited Auburn, Florida State and Georgia this summer.
“I had a great time at all of them,” Jones said. “Got to see what it’s like outside of football season on a normal day.”
Right now, it is too early for Jones to name any leaders.
“I plan on having a good idea of where I’m going, or a top five, around New Year’s,” Jones said.
Jones is rated by 247Sports as the No. 5 player in Georgia, the nation’s No. 1 offensive guard and the nation’s No. 21 overall player in the 2019 class.
