2017 Clemson commit opens recruitment

2017 Clemson RB verbal commitment Cordarrian Richardson has reopened his recruitment.

The four-star prospect from Trezevant High School in Memphis, Tenn., announced the news on Twitter on Friday evening.

“After a long time thinking and talking to my mother and coaches about this decision, I’ve decided that I’ll re-open my recruitment,” Richardson wrote. “Clemson is not out of conclusion and I consider them a priority.”

Richardson committed to Clemson in March, choosing the Tigers over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and others. He was Clemson’s lone commit at running back in the current cycle.

The 5-foot-11, 225-pounder took his official visit to Clemson for the Pittsburgh game in November.

Richardson won Tennessee’s 2A Mr. Football Back of the Year award as a senior this season. He is rated as a top-150 prospect in his class.
